From your trusty commuters up to high end carbon fibre road bikes, we offer some of the most competent and best value bike servicing and repairs around. From an entry level bicycle safety check, to a thorough full service, whatever your needs, we’ve got all bases covered.

Check out our three service levels below, and you can either pop in to our shop and we’ll give you the advice and products that best suit your needs and budget, email us with all the relevant information, or the way we prefer, is to simply give us a call to chat about what you need over the phone.

  • SAFETY CHECK

    From £55

    Give your bike a general checkover to see what may need to be done in terms of a service. We will pump tyres up, tighten any loose nuts and bolts etc, advise on service costs.

    Please note: This is not a service and if any parts need replacing, it won’t be covered by this.

  • GENERAL SERVICE

    From £85

    More advanced than our safety check, our general service includes checking your bicycles frame and forks, general alignment, headset, bottom bracket, hubs, wheels and all moving parts. New parts are replaced where necessary and we always make sure a full quote is given before any work goes ahead.

  • FULL SERVICE

    From £150

    Our full service is a full strip down and rebuild. Which means everything that is included in a general service applies, but first we strip the bicycle down to the very last bearing and bolt. The headset is faced if needed, bottom bracket is faced and threads re-chased and then we’ll anti seize, reassemble and begin setup.

Neil’s Wheels would politely request all bikes coming in for service are clean and presentable to work on. Dirty bikes hide secrets and are unpleasant to work on. If a bike is too dirty to assess thoroughly an additional cleaning charge will be applied.

We offer a wide range of individual repairs encompassing the whole bike, from tube to bartape. If what you are after isn’t listed below please get in contact for more info.

  • For Bromptons, we stock tyres and tubes but as we are not a Brompton dealer we cannot guarantee to be able to service your bike due to not having a consistent supply of Brompton parts.

  • WE DO NOT WORK ON: E-scooters, homemade e-bikes, cargo trikes/bikes (purely for space reasons), ‘dropshipped’ bikes (ie Amazon brands) or anything not UK legal.

  • We reserve the right to not work on your bike if you refuse safety critical repairs, or if the bike cannot be made safe.

Service Collections

  • If Neil's Wheels is in possession of your bike for longer than 1 WEEK past service completion with no contact or prior agreement we will add £10 PER WEEK storage charge onto the bill until collection.

  • If your bike is still onsite 2 WEEKS post service (no contact/prior arrangement) we will attempt a final contact before assuming it has been dumped and SELL IT TO RECOUP EXPENSES.
